96-3-05 Benzene degradation in a strongly reducing soil

Key question / Key goal: The soil at the project location can be described as ’deeply anaerobe’ (sulphate-reducing up to a methanogenic environment). The groundwater at the project location is contaminated with benzene. During the investigation a further characterization of the soil was made. This resulted in the ’work procedure’ for the determination of the redox status of the soil.
